The concept for the office lobby design is known as the "Architecture of the Void," a thought-provoking approach that aims to redefine spatial experiences. Our proposal ingeniously transforms the sinuous form of the existing fluid architectural façade and materializes it into a captivating waffle structure for the pavilion, creating a visually striking and dynamic focal point.

We meticulously integrated the pleated cladding design enveloping the lobbies, infusing the space with a profound embodiment of Vietnamese craft and modern architectural prowess, thereby adding a layer of cultural significance to the innovative material usage. Ultimately, the design of this “Atrium” seeks to provoke a sense of wonder and curiosity, inviting visitors to explore and engage with the rich narrative woven into the very fabric of the environment.

The waffle like structure is create by intersecting A-frames and substracting the central volume in the creation of a cavernous but conservatory-like space. Ambient lighting is reflected off a bronzed mesh ceiling, and the varied depth of the baffles creates a subtle gradient of brightness. Lights, sprinklers, services are integrated with the waffled ceiling, and the angular lines are translated into wall claddings and furniture.

Panel clips are carefully affixed onto 12mm solid surface panels using secure fastening to ensure a robust and lasting connection, while the frame consists of 75 mm circular hollow sections, providing sturdy support. Additionally, pre-Bent mild steel plates are ingeniously utilized to form and create a rail that effectively accommodates the panel clips, further enhancing the overall integrity of the assembly
