Type0 is Embarking on Our first Mass Engineered Timber (MET) project.

Inspecting the CLT components at Stora Enso in Austria

Type0 visit WIEHAG Timber Construction today to inspect our Spruce and Accoya glulam components, each member precisely milled in close collaboration with fabricators and consultants, to fully integrate window rebates, plumbing and ducting penetrations before construction begins.

With the project situated in such close proximity to the sea and in the tropics, precision engineered stainless steel connections ensure the longevity of our components in contact with acetylated timber members as well as the salty air.

Every member and connection is uniquely numbered for on-sire coordination, and a accelerated on-site construction process, looking forward to seeing it take shape!

Some serious require serious hardware. “Double” beams work the hardest in our building while supersized screws fasten plates to the MET structure and keep joints rigid, birch plywood reinforcement enable the structure to perform even with multiple penetrations are needed.
